● The Essential Health Check covers 18–19 key health markers using a simple finger‑prick blood sample. It’s designed to provide a snapshot of your basic health status.
Vitamins and Minerals
● Iron stores via Ferritin (indicates deficiency or excess).
● Vitamin B12 (energy, red blood cell production, neurological function).
● Vitamin D (bone, immune and mental health).
Liver function
● via albumin, globulin, total protein, ALT, ALP, GGT, and bilirubin.
Cholesterol and Lipid Profile
● Total cholesterol, HDL (“good”), LDL/VLDL/non‑HDL (“bad”), triglycerides, total:HDL and TG:HDL ratios.
● Triglycerides.
● Cholesterol / HDL Ratio.
● Triglycerides / HDL Ratio.
Customers must be aged 18 years or over to take this test. This test is not available to customers who are pregnant or breastfeeding.
This is a basic health check meant as a snapshot of general health markers—not a full diagnostic panel. It is ideal as a wellness tool or yearly screening. Suitable if you’re curious about vitamin status, liver function or cholesterol trends without needing clinical intervention.
Kit contents: lancets, collection tube & case, wipes, plasters, instructions, and a prepaid return envelope (UK only).
Uses a finger‑prick blood sample collected at home and sent to an accredited UK lab.
Results usually delivered within 7 days, shown via the online client portal using a traffic‑light format (high, borderline, normal) and numeric reactivity scores.
Sample Return
Return the sample immediately after collection — ideally same day, or within 24 hours, using the pre-paid envelope provided.
Avoid posting it just before weekends or holidays (since samples are time-sensitive and can degrade in transit).
Additional Potential Uses
● Monitoring progress: Tracking nutrient levels or hormones over time to see how lifestyle or treatments are working.
● Preventive health: Early detection of deficiencies or imbalances before symptoms appear.
● Supporting personalised nutrition: Tailoring diet and supplements based on individual biomarker results.
● Complementing medical care: Providing extra info to share with your GP or specialist for a more holistic approach / management.
Persistent Tendonopathy’s Male Hormone Test
● Low testosterone levels can impair tendon healing and muscle strength.
● Imbalanced cortisol (stress hormone) may contribute to inflammation or delayed repair.
● Low DHEA-S or altered sex hormones might affect collagen synthesis and tissue regeneration.
● Identifying hormonal imbalances can guide interventions (e.g., medical referral, lifestyle changes).
Essential Health Check (Nutrient Status)
● Vitamin D deficiency is linked to poor tendon and musculoskeletal health, affecting collagen formation and repair.
● Low Vitamin B12 or Folate can impair nerve and tissue repair.
● Iron (Ferritin) deficiency may reduce oxygen delivery to tissues, slowing healing.
● Liver function markers might indirectly reflect systemic inflammation or metabolic stress affecting tissue health.
